What is ScienceTLDR?

ScienceTLDR summarizes new peer-reviewed research papers in plain language, with narrated audio and short videos. Summaries are AI-assisted and human-curated, and each one links to the original publication.

Are the summaries reliable?

Summaries are generated with the help of AI and reviewed for quality, but they are simplifications and may contain errors. They are provided for general information only — always verify against the linked original paper before relying on a finding, and never treat a summary as medical, legal or financial advice.

How do subscriptions work?

Optional subscriptions are sold through Apple's App Store as auto-renewing subscriptions. The price and billing period are shown in the app before you buy, payment is charged to your Apple Account, and the subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed entirely through Apple: open Settings on your iPhone → tap your name → Subscriptions → ScienceTLDR → Cancel Subscription. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Can I get a refund?

Purchases are processed by Apple, so refund requests go through Apple as well: visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple Account you used to purchase.

How is my data handled?

Briefly: we keep data collection to the minimum the app needs to work. The details are in our privacy policy.
